    thinkmexican: “WE WILL NOT COMPLY” SB 1070 is one week away from taking effect. The Department of Justice and MALDEF and other civil rights organizations will be in court today seeking to block SB 1070.  Phoenix community members will be protesting SB 1070 in front of the Sandra Day O’Conner Federal Court House from 9 am to 6 pm.     phxt: abbyjean: Pabst Blue Ribbon has paid some guy to paint a bunch of murals in downtown Phoenix for them, and they are all pretty bad. The one attached was put up maybe a week ago and I see it every day as it’s around the corner from my place. Today as I drove past I noticed someone had added a checklist to the side of the mural. (via Wooster Collective: Beer (check) -Boobs (check) - Art ?) Exactly. Arg. As if PBR really needs to advertise downtown anyways…

    Celebrate Thursday.

    The week is almost over, it’s been rough, and I’m hosting at Hidden House TONIGHT. Free comedy, strong drinks, $4 pork chop DINNER. How could you resist??

    Mike Kennedy, Kon Stamadianos, Tonya Browne, Zach Irwin, Robin Sherman, Myke Dehu, Steve Maxwell, Kirk Buckhout, and more.

    I’ve been getting serious anxiety all day just thinking about pronouncing Kon’s last name correctly… on stage… after some drinks… and a day’s worth of self-doubt. I don’t want him to hate me.

    Show starts at 8:30 - the southeast corner of 7th Avenue and Osborn. Take the Lightrail or ride your bike, cause then you can get SLOSHED and hone your puking and pedaling skills. Just. Like. Me.
